Why do you insist the characters are gay

We can look at a deep relationship with tons of emotions and trust and automatically assume it’s romantic love if it’s a boy and a girl, or assume it’s just platonic love if it’s a guy and a guy. And speaking of, that brings up the defense of “we need more male friendships.”. When a gay role comes along, it is understandable that some will feel upset when yet another heterosexual swoops in and steals the spotlight from a queer actor, notorious or niche.

Acting cannot solely be about the act of playing a character — it is about representation. Have you noticed the why do you insist the characters are gay of prominent gay characters within the epic fantasy as a genre and do you ever include (or will ever include) gay or lesbian characters in your own work?.

For decades it was pretty much a world where gay people had been acknowledged but were rarely seen, and big-name heroes were most definitely not gay. That’s why it’s news when Iceman comes. The report showed that despite an increase of representation for White gay males, the same could not be said for lesbian, bisexual and trans characters, along with people of colour and disabled people.
